Introduction

² Objective

The goals of the Graduate Institute of Educational Administration are as follows:

1. To provide the professional field of compulsory educational policy and its practical applications

2. To provide the professional field of educational administration and policy and to cultivate academic research and practical applications

3. To provide the professional field of educational finance and economics as well as in school management and operations and to cultivate  academic research and practical applications

4. To provide the international field of educational academic research.

 

 

² Features

The institute is devoted to intergrate educational administration, educational policy, educational economics, organizational management, andtheories and practices of management. Also, it strengthens the motivation of professional learning and growth via a multiple course selection system. Based on objectives and features of the institute, the courses design of master and doctoral degrees not only emphasizes on research method and basic subjects,  but also separates the professional courses into two groups: “Educational policy and leadership” and “Educational economic and organizational management.” So the central feature of the institutecan be practiced in courses teaching, practical training and academic research. Then the students of this institute can be growthed (‘growthed’ is not a word, choose ‘grown’) and developed through professional knowledge, practical skills, management function, value function, standard function and system potential.

 

 

² Core Competence

The core value of the institute focuse both on theories and practice. It helps students to have the practical ability in their school work as well as do the academic research. Then the studnets can reach the goals of this institute. 1. To cultivate profesionals of compulsory education. 2. To cultivate professionals of educational administration and educational policy. 3. To cultivate professionals in the filed of educational finance and school management. 4. To cultivate educational academic professionals with internataional point of view.

The institute cultivates competence of analyzing problems and solving difficulties by training students’ logicic (perhaps change this word to ‘critical’) thinking of information integration and strengthening their thinking of defining and clearing blind spots. Also, it trains the students to use knowledge of administration and management, and use creative logic thinking and creative management.

Ⅱ.  Competence to combine creativity

This intitiute cultivates students’ competence for creative practice and knowledge combination by raising academic knowledge of research creativity, integrating diverse educational points of view, operating management and diverse thinking, and strengthening creative combinations of theory and practice.

Ⅲ.  Competence for professional analysis

This institute cultivates students’ competence of professional development and plan analysis by extending learning view of professional field, raising the abilities of data collection and analysis, strengthening the abilities of educational policyanalysis, plan appraisal and decision making, and professional knowledge of organizational management.

Ⅳ.  Competence to communicate and express

The institute cultivates students’ competence of expressing and discoursing ideas by building the critical ability ofvalue cognition and interpretation, deepening the ability of logic analysis, idea grasping and expressing. And the institute combines the perceptions of who, what, when, and where.
